TREND diamond files have Monocrystalline Diamonds.
A Monocrystalline Diamond is a single structure which
does not break with use. It has an exceptional
lifespan. The diamonds are set in nickel and then
electroplated onto the precision ground surface material.

and wear quickly. Usually these are glued onto the

coarse side (300 grit) . Overall length is 7" with a 2
1/2" sharpening surface.

I sharpened around 900 tools during the last Christmas
season using my sanding belt and the Trend Diamond files. A
great number of them were small v-tools which are extremely
difficult to sharpen with the sanding belt. The Trend
Diamond files were a blessing when sharpening the v-tools.
I have not detected any wear on the files.
