2 day class (Prerequisite: Must take the beginners class or have equivalent experience using variable-temperature equipment with writer, skew, and shader tips)In this class you will expand your knowledge and experience using variable-temperature woodburning tools while creating an in-depth woodburning project under the guidance of a skilled instructor. Michele's teaching style is to explain and demonstrate techniques on a group and individual student basis. Michele does not work on your project. Instead, she offers instruction and guidance so that you learn from doing it yourself and can take pride and ownership in the project when it is complete.Students will pick their projects from a selection of wildlife patterns, or they may choose to work on a project of their own with prior approval and pattern creation by the instructor. Project boards will then be chosen based on the pattern choice. The project boards are larger than the beginner class, typically 10" x 12" basswood with bark edges. Adding color to your project (which is optional) and finishing your project will be discussed during class. After you are enrolled, contact Michele at ParsonsWoodArtistry@yahoo.com in advance of the class if you want to work on your own project.Class size is limited, so enroll early! Bring your enthusiasm, variable temperature woodburning equipment and pens (some equipment is available for loan on a first-come basis requested upon registration), and a pencil/pen.Please visit Michele's website to see examples of her work at: www.ParsonsWoodArtistry.com
